Tahara is located at Atsumi Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture. It is blessed with abundant natural resources especially Mt. Zao and Mt. Ooyama, which is the highest mountain at the peninsula, and mild climate. In addition it is surrounded by the gentle Mikawa Bay with scenic beauty in the north, the stirring Pacific Ocean in the south and the Irago Channel protected by an impressive lighthouse in the west. The coastal industrial zone in the northern Tahara has the Port of Mikawa, which is the most important port in the region, and the active productions as well as the physical distributions especially by the automobile industry, among many leading industries, are going on. The maintenance of infrastructure has continued to ensure efficient deployments of businesses. Tahara City widely invites many enterprises to branch out their activities to the City, which progresses toward the realization of a city with full of nature's bounty and human vigor.
