The Culture Hall, Library, Municipal Gymnasium and Information Center are bases for the study of culture. The Culture Hall includes is fully equipped with a culture hall as well as a multi-purpose hall with movable seats, an atrium, music practice rooms and other facilities.
Recycling Center Recycling Center
The Recycling Center utilizes garbage as a resource without incinerating it. General household waste is recovered and made into solid fuel and reusable compost after sorting.
Takigashira Park Takigashira Park
Takigashira Park, famous for its cherry blossoms, also includes a campground, baseball field, tennis courts, a multi-purpose ground, etc., a jumbo gorilla combination jungle gym and roller slides. It is a good place to bring the whole family for an enjoyable day outdoors.
Tahara Welfare center Tahara Welfare center
This welfare facility offers health maintenance services to everyone, from babies to the elderly, and also serves as a place where citizens can come for recreation and relaxation. This center with its welfare office, is the base for all welfare activities in Tahara City.
Day Service Center Day Service Center
This is a facility designed for residents of Tahara who are old and feeble, or elderly persons who are permanently bedridden. As its name implies, this center offers advice on daily living, daily activity practice, nurture, classes for family members engaged in home care of elderly relatives, health checks, bath services, meal services and other important services.
Landfill Disposal Center Landfill Disposal Center
Large waste items, pottery and other garbage from households are prepared for the landfill at the Center. The waste is sorted into 13 types, and recyclable waste is reused to conserve resources.
Midorigahama Park Midorigahama Park
This park is a place for sports and relaxation, offering a baseball field, multi-purpose sports grounds, a miniature golf course, tennis courts and other facilities. Visitors can also enjoy fishing and barbecues.
Tahara Municipal College of Human Services Tahara Municipal College of Human Services
This is a specialist municipal college established to train health care professionals (with national qualifications). It is a two-year college with 40 students in each year's class. Dormitory facilities capable of housing 40 students are also provided.
Sewage Treatment Plant Sewage Treatment Plant
Progress is being made on construction of the municipal sewer system to improve the living environment. The Sewage Treatment Center is the treatment plant which is the final stage of this system. The system began partial operations in April, 1992. The area served is still being expanded at the present time.
